Re: FB at No. 24 JMU, 3:30 p.m., ESPN+
I am realizing where a lot of the heat on Loggains is coming. People are quickly turning on him not wanting to give him a full chance for one reason. He is not cowing down to donors by giving them special treatment and opening practices up to everyone. People need to get over their egos and wait to see how next year goes before starting to turn. I am realizing we have some donors and circle of excellence members who are acting like teenagers and really need to grow up. If we have people simply giving to have influence and not because they want to support our athletes and the school that gave them so much then maybe those particular folks need to just stop giving.
I don't like our results right now but I also know what Loggains was taking over and think we need to give him a fair chance.

I think it’s the product on the field and the results on the scoreboard. Fix those and we are good.

I don’t know much about who is/isn’t getting NIL money. But I do know that Joey wings at the Ale House are stupid good.
@AppStFan1, you can quote me on that.

Re: FB at No. 24 JMU, 3:30 p.m., ESPN+
To be clear, that is not why I have turned on him. I live in Florida and couldn't attend a practice even if I wanted to, and I also am not a member of the circle of excellence. I tuned on him because of the product on the field and the abysmal way the JMU game went. I fully intended to give him at least 2 years, but that JMU game was enough for me to change my mind. Much like that second half against Texas A&M was enough to make LSU change their minds and fire Kelly. I hope I have jumped the gun too soon and DLo proves me wrong. I would love to win out and that would do it for me, it wouldn't take much. Honestly, even seeing some life in the team and being competitive might be enough, I just can't stand to watch another effort like we had against JMU.AppStFan1 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 20, 2025 6:50 pmI am realizing where a lot of the heat on Loggains is coming. Re: FB at No. 24 JMU, 3:30 p.m., ESPN+
Not saying all are but that is what is going on with many. People on the circle of excellence are mad. I agree with you that we need to be better. I am just acknowledging the hole that we were left in and believe it could take us time to be back. There were others on this board, including myself, who felt this could be a 2-3 year turnaround. Anyone who thought we would go 8-4 or better this year was fooling themselves. I thought 6-6 was likely, and had a little hope for 7-5, but when injuries piled up I knew that was just not going to happen.t4pizza wrote: ↑Thu Nov 20, 2025 9:29 pmTo be clear, that is not why I have turned on him. Also, keep in mind the buyout. Unless you or anyone who would like a change has the money to do it then we just need to sit back and give it a little time.
I am not worried about these last two games. I am thinking about the 2026 season already. I do think Loggains needs to make some adjustments on the staff such as a new WR coach, new strength coach, and someone to help him with play calling to start.
Trust me, if we don't make a bowl game next year I will absolutely start questioning. The bar I am setting is that I want to at least reach 7 wins. I do think Loggains gets 3 years unless we are something like 4-8 or worse next year.

Re: FB at No. 24 JMU, 3:30 p.m., ESPN+
This is a ridiculous take. People, whether in the circle of excellence or not are justifiably mad at the terrible product DLO is putting on the field. And his smug indifference isn’t helping. He’s the head guy. He came in slinging snake oil. And while no one was expecting 9-3 this season, we were expecting improvements. That’s what we hired him for, despite no head coaching experience . But instead we’ve seen the worst App team most of us have ever seen. We have regressed mightily and while many were understanding there would be bumps Along the way, no one was ok with him driving this team completely off the cliff, which he has. Can he turn it around? Hopefully. But right now he looks completely out of his depth and make no mistake, App fans are not goin to be ok with watching this program circle the drain while we give a first time coach multiple years to learn how to be a head coach.AppStFan1 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 20, 2025 6:50 pmI am realizing where a lot of the heat on Loggains is coming. This is seriously not the worst team we have ever had. I have seen worse. I admit I am disappointed if we don't make a bowl game but I knew that it would take 2-3 years so I am not going to jump on the bandwagon of those wanting him run out of town. Many other coaches have looked out of their depth and just saw and they turn it around. My whole point is that we need to see how 2026 looks.Seattleapp wrote: ↑Thu Nov 20, 2025 10:16 pmThis is a ridiculous take. For the record, there were other coaches I wanted over Loggains but I also believe we need to show a little patience. Also, Gillin is not going to just fire him in a couple weeks either. There is the financial aspect to consider. Unless you we have the money to pay the buyout we are just wasting our breathe sitting behind a keyboard asking for a coaching change.

If the COE ain’t happy, they need to pony up the buyout or get over it.AppStFan1 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 20, 2025 11:11 pmThis is seriously not the worst team we have ever had. I have seen worse. 2. What is one area of the game that we are good at?
3. What is one area of the game that we have improved over the last few weeks?
Word is that many of the students are not hanging around for this weekend's game. They are actually selling student guest tickets for the first time this year?
