This ain’t the 2019 or 2022 UNC teams. Consider me worried.

Good thing we don't play Texas State in conference unless we turn things around and met them in Championship game. They totally dominated Baylor nevermind the score. This is a tremendously improved Texas State team versus the team that beat us last season. They brought in a slew of top talent transfers.

Coach came across to me as very defensive and agitated. Had the tone of a worried man. Just one guys take.

Kinne is the real deal. His offense is going to score points.CornCobPipes wrote: ↑Sat Sep 02, 2023 10:11 pmGood thing we don't play Texas State in conference unless we turn things around and met them in Championship game. He might have been a little irritated having to say 10 times that he had confidence in both QBs and defending Burger and his decision to make him the starter - it was irritating me that whoever it was keep asking about the QBs

Brought in 2 SEC transfers from pretty big programs as signal callers. They’re exciting to watch. Maybe we will get them for a rematch in the ship! Just go 1-0!CornCobPipes wrote: ↑Sat Sep 02, 2023 10:11 pmGood thing we don't play Texas State in conference unless we turn things around and met them in Championship game. Agreed. He is a very good offensive mind. It looks like they will be hard to stop on offense.AppStateNews wrote: ↑Sat Sep 02, 2023 10:20 pmKinne is the real deal. Could have gone better. Could have been worse.

The next three weeks are going to be such a mental test for us. You've got the two most hyped games of the season back to back, then go across the country and up another 3000 feet to play At Wyoming who just knocked off Texas Tech. And right now that Wyoming game screams letdown to me coming off the highs of the UNC/ECU duo.
2-2 would be a welcome start heading into conference play. 1-3 ain't out of the question though.

I tried to make that exact point last week. And Laramie is closer to 4000 feet higher than Boone.rbarthle17 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 02, 2023 11:50 pmThe next three weeks are going to be such a mental test for us. It's worth pointing out that Monroe beat Army, so that game won't be as easy as in the past.

Is Ponce a two runningback guy or are Marshall and Roberts also dinged up? I just dont think Noel is an everygame 20+ carry a game guy especially with the talent we have at rb.

There are 79 unbeaten FBS teams and we are one of them. After Monday it drops to at least 76. Just imagine had we actually lost? Gloom and Doom crowd find another school to "support "

Re: It's Bur....Joey Time! - GW discussion
Last time I posted was on the 2023 Football Schedule thread back in Feb. and now someone else has figured it out also. This GW game needed to be in between the UNC-ECU games or between Wyoming and ECU game (emotional spacer), the travel to Wyoming back to Boone then to Monroe for a 12pm start, a trap game waiting to happen I'm afraid.rbarthle17 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 02, 2023 11:50 pmThe next three weeks are going to be such a mental test for us. The admin doesn't control the schedule of SBC games, but the admin does control non conf games.
The 'placement' of games is as important as 'who' you play.
2022 emotional roller coaster of UNC heartbreak and thrill of SEC win took it's toll...should be interesting to watch this 2023 play out.
