That's why I called to extend to 7 years halfway through year 1...I was like...AD is going to figure out what has got here...a money makerAppSt94 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 23, 2023 2:09 pmI think it changed in 2021. I was not required to YC member. I elected to be later... right before first season well after I purchased nex seats. That may have changed

If the stadium holds 25k and we sell 11k season tickets and have 10k student tickets, how do we have a 3,000 waiting list?

My guess is that we don’t sell, or offer every seat as a season ticket. You have visiting fans, recruits and different promotions, I.e. Parent’s Weekend and Homecoming that require availability.appgrad95&97 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 23, 2023 3:01 pmIf the stadium holds 25k and we sell 11k season tickets and have 10k student tickets, how do we have a 3,000 waiting list?

Yep. I asked if I would be required to pay more once my 7 years are up. Was told no but I’m not holding my breath.BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Thu Mar 23, 2023 2:44 pmThat's why I called to extend to 7 years halfway through year 1...I was like...AD is going to figure out what has got here...a money makerAppSt94 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 23, 2023 2:09 pmI think it changed in 2021. I’ve started selling plasma, collecting cans, and walking dogs to save up for the hit.

I wish people would get away from idea of temp seating in NEZ. That area generates $$, it is used pre-post game.

Or the waiting list is current season ticket holders wanting to upgrade. I feel like I am somehow on that 3,000 list. Re: Any new news from the Zoom meeting last night???
The materials for Friday's Board of Trustees meeting don't mention it. It just says "a new full sized indoor practice facility including supporting offices, athletic training space and leesable clinic space." Friday's vote is for $2.3 million to advanced planning (estimated $30 million total) and the docs have constructing starting May 2024 with completion by December 2025. But that's al subject to change, plus completion of the App 105 project first.

Count me among those who think the NEZ will continue to look embarrassingly unfinished until the lower deck is completed.

Re: Any new news from the Zoom meeting last night???
I specifically asked about this a few weeks ago and was told “we’re looking into doing it”, similar to what Marshall did with their facility. It’s all going to depend on money.T-Dog wrote: ↑Thu Mar 23, 2023 4:35 pmThe materials for Friday's Board of Trustees meeting don't mention it. Yes, I still don't understand how the plan was to have an overhang over the seats to cover from the elements, and out of nowhere it isn't going to work structurally. The construction company/architect should have made it work from the start....or face stiff penalties. The nice black chairs already look very worn out due to the elements.

If they plan to sell those spots for standing room, that should invest in some semi-permanent fixtures, I agree with 78 it looks JVish.

I’m not sure if this is totally to blame but the stands started to pull away from the building which necessitated the columnsappgrad2010 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 24, 2023 8:06 amYes, I still don't understand how the plan was to have an overhang over the seats to cover from the elements, and out of nowhere it isn't going to work structurally. The fact that the stands started pulling away is a shame for whoever did design, etc. should have caught that before built.AppSt94 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 24, 2023 8:54 amI’m not sure if this is totally to blame but the stands started to pull away from the building which necessitated the columnsappgrad2010 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 24, 2023 8:06 amYes, I still don't understand how the plan was to have an overhang over the seats to cover from the elements, and out of nowhere it isn't going to work structurally. It’s already embarrassingly off center, why would completion level bother anyone

The fact that the designer thought they could do overhanging seats without support underneath and everyone in power believed it until it was proven to be wrong, while many fans pointed out that would happen, will never not be funny to me.

Orrrr terrifying they had a structural engineer who convinced a lot of people it was possible. Makes you wonder what other nonsense is out there just waiting to show itself as a problem.
