Wyoming Game
I know it’s early but I’m already working on making reservations for the Wyoming game in September. Any hotel recommendations? Never been to Laramie. Where y’all staying?

Staying in Denver and driving up for the game. The Great American Beerfest is going on in Denver that weekend and there is going to be an alumni event in the works for Denver.

The game is scheduled for Sept 23rd. I've never been to Wyoming, but we booked at the Hampton Inn Laramie. Looking forward to the road trip.PhillyApp1 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 19, 2023 7:23 pmI am going !!

Re: Wyoming Game
The boys need to do some practices on Sugar Mtn to prep for this game. Wyoming’s stadium is at over 7,000 ft elevation so the air is going to be a little thin that day.

Re: Wyoming Game
Laramie hotels were expensive, but I booked the Fairfield Inn for Friday/Saturday on Points. Looks like the best option is to fly into Denver and drive up.
If anyone is spending extra time in the Denver area, I highly recommend Rocky Mountain National Park and the Grand Lake area.

Re: Wyoming Game
When the Sun goes down in Laramie it gets cold, because of the lack of humidity. Laramie is windy like Boone. Laramie is flat compared to Boone. Drinking is different in Laramie due to the altitude. Colors are Brown and Gold, not Black and Gold. They have massive 50-50 raffles at the game. Kidd Brewer Stadium: "Welcome to 3333 feet" War Memorial Stadium: "Welcome to 7220 feet." Artificial turf in both locations. Appalachian, highest division I school east of the Mississippi River, Wyoming, highest division I University in North America. You will have a good time! Just like App, real people go to Wyo. Go App Go! Go Wyo! Was there last fall during the Wyoming UNC game, University of Northern Colorado.

Re: Wyoming Game
Flying to Denver, spending a night there, then driving to Laramie on Friday afternoon. Looking forward to seeing a new state. We’re staying just across from the stadium (it’s a Hilton brand, but can’t remember which one-wife made the reservation).
Give 'em hell!

I live in Laramie and would be happy to answer any local questions as we get closer. @AppWyo, where do you live out here?
I love the War and can't wait to attend for once as a 'visitor'.

Re: Wyoming Game
@App_gorilla do you recommend any camp grounds in or near town and stadium? A buddy from Denver is planning to pull his camper up for us! Hoping for a big App crowd for the weekend!app_gorilla wrote: ↑Mon Feb 20, 2023 6:17 pmI live in Laramie and would be happy to answer any local questions as we get closer. @AppWyo, where do you live out here?

Looks like the hotels are sold out.
Are ubers generally available in the area or should we plan on other transportation?

Re: Wyoming Game
I live in Climax, North Carolina. I went to the University of Wyoming after I graduated from App. After being in Boone for four years I wanted to see the West without being a tourist. I was in Laramie in September to celebrate the 100+2 Epsilon Delta chapter of the social fraternity I joined while attending the University of Wyoming. So, I am both a Mountaineer and a Cowboy. It was the same weekend that App beat Texas A&M, Marshall beat Notre Dame, and Georgia Southern beat Nebraska. I sat behind someone that grew up in Charlotte and attended UNC-Ch.app_gorilla wrote: ↑Mon Feb 20, 2023 6:17 pmI live in Laramie and would be happy to answer any local questions as we get closer. @AppWyo, where do you live out here?
