Re: Possible transfer situations
And that was a mess. There wasn't a coverup in that case, just a lack of communication from university leaders and a mess of a process by a system that should have never tried to adjudicate an (alleged) sexual assault.
The institutional fallout from those events 10 years ago was quiet but there was fallout. An Ombud office was created and all sexual assault cases are now given to the regional DA's office. And the administrator overseeing the situation lost their job.

Re: Possible transfer situations
And to those who haven't heard of the systematic sexual assault of then-Liberty students, take 20 minutes and read this.
https://www.propublica.org/article/the- ... l-assaults
In May, Liberty settled with 20 of the 22 accusers for an undisclosed amount.
https://wset.com/news/abc13-investigate ... -lynchburg
And there's still another case going to federal trial.
https://www.wric.com/news/virginia-news ... niversity/
I would recommend anyone who doesn't understand how sexual assaults can be covered up easily read Rachel Denhollander's book "What Is A Girl's Worth." She was the first person to speak out about Larry Nassar after being victimized by him as a kid. All it takes is one ADA, one judge, one police detective, one police chief or in these cases, one school official part of a multi-tiered leadership chain to silence a survivor.

I am glad he is back. I prefer to play teams and beat them when at their best. Gives us the opportunity to even series with him at QB.

Re: Possible transfer situations
T-Dog is right on this stuff, it is why Auburn will not let their new coach have any control over any social media accounts.Seattleapp wrote: ↑Sat Dec 31, 2022 1:22 amThe fact that you started with “transitioning persons” is so obnoxious. Will Thomas is a guy and he beat a bunch of girls in swimming. It’s ok to tell the truth.T-Dog wrote: ↑Sat Dec 31, 2022 12:36 amI'm not talking about transitioning persons. That's your own mind bringing that up.Seattleapp wrote: ↑Wed Dec 28, 2022 10:05 pmYou make an interesting point. It’s also interesting to stand on the title IX argument as I watched a dude dominate women in swimming last year and was awarded the “female” athlete of the year. As I’m told that’s what equality in women’s sports is. Im not a defender of Liberty but the bizarre obsession with them is just that…bizarre
I'm talking about the numerous covered-up sexual assaults of female students which show a pattern of Liberty University protecting abusers. I'm talking about Ian McCaw, who was forced out as Baylor AD due to systemic coverups of sexual assaults on that campus. I'm talking about Hugh Freeze, in his capacity as (now former) Libert Football head coach DMing Liberty grads who are sexual assault survivors and defending the institution.
And to answer another question that the Yosef's Cabin Smile Committee enjoyed, actually I'm not because I'm not going to indulge a fantasy whataboutism to make their own point.
But back to Liberty, If You have specific facts to prove your accusations I’m all for being educated and hopefully proven wrong. But I suspect you don’t. If there were systematic coverups Of sexual assaults at a Christian University I’m quite sure it would have made national news because apparently you already have the receipts yourself.
I will repeat again, I am not emboldened to Liberty. but I chuckle at the moral high horse folks take when it can push their agenda. Ok Hugh Freeze is shady, but Show me where he messaged girls specifically because they were sexual assault survivors. Show me that proof. Bob Richie is the head basketball coach who coached under Tony Bennett for years who is widely regarded as a good and pious person. Is he in on it too? Did he toss his moral compass out the window as well just to be at Liberty?
I suspect you have more issues with Liberty being “Christian” than anything else. which is fine but just own that position. i don’t particularly like the Falwell clan but I don’t blankety slam all the current players and coaches.
And I have no idea what Yosef’s smile committee means

Browns tweet said we stripped him of a scholarship, I’m sure there’s an interesting story there.

Not a fan of how Brown announced his decision. Just proves the point he was trouble in the locker room though.
Wish him well in Huntington!

Re: Possible transfer situations
Not surprising. Honestly surprised it took this long for him to do it. Hard worker, good kid, great arm talent.
If he can get the mental side of college football down, he can be dangerous. Wish nothing but the best for him.

I wish Tabscott well. Seemed like a lot of talent coming out of high school and had several good schools interested. Never heard anything negative about him on this board. I'm sure he will land on his feet. I have a feeling he could be a starter somewhere.

Re: Possible transfer situations
Georgia has a few in the portal now. 3 tight ends...worth a call! We could use their size, blocking and athleticism. We've got PT for tight ends with Pearson gone.
