How much of any team's perception of success is predicated on their schedule in a given year? Troy obviously dodged some bullets this year especially being in the west.MrCraig wrote: ↑Sat Dec 03, 2022 8:44 amWell there you go! USM is rising, but still very bearable. ULM is ULM. I would think that SHOULD be two wins. So USM, ULM, ODU, GSU, and GW should SHOULD be wins. One more win gets you bowl eligible. 2 gets you an improvement over this season. 3-4 gets you where we are used to being.hapapp wrote: ↑Fri Dec 02, 2022 4:36 pmI believe we get USM at home and at ULM.MrCraig wrote: ↑Fri Dec 02, 2022 2:06 pmDepends on who we get scheduled from the SBC West. If we play ULM and Arkansas State, I think we can pretty easily get 7 wins. I think Gardner-Webb, ODU, GA State, and GA Southern are likely wins, if Chadwell really goes to Liberty, he could leave Coastal in disarray like Napier left ULL. There's a lot that can happen between now and next season. I'm choosing to be cautiously optimistic.Howard Street Hooligan wrote: ↑Fri Dec 02, 2022 1:45 pmunless we get double digit transfers, we're not winning 7 games next year with Clark.

Probably too much. Look at Coastal getting ranked the last couple years by steamrolling the literal bottom of FBS football. I was just answering the person above who said they didn’t think we could get to 7 wins. I think we can.bigdaddyg wrote: ↑Sat Dec 03, 2022 8:58 amHow much of any team's perception of success is predicated on their schedule in a given year? I have been thinking and I believe that Drinkwitz used our players up and did not replace them with the same quality. Which is a possible reason for the difference in our win loss record and why we have been so injury prone the last three years.

18 guys were recruited to play defense in 2019 and 2020. Outside of Ross, Harrington, and Tucker in 2019 and DDP, McLeod, Clarke, and Passigiata in 2020, not much contribution at all. 2 of those 18 moved to offense.
