Agree, the players always know what’s best for the team, not the coaches.
You don’t see a problem with current and former players turning on the coaching staff? Something has happened and Clark and co has lost the team.
No, I don’t. Hennigan ain’t in the locker room. When he was, Clark won 10 games and Hennigan had a shot at the NFL. Now the coaching staff is suddenly bad?
Hennigan is closer to the locker room than any of us will ever be.
This would be a truly unprecedented situation where the players and coaches don’t see eye to eye on everything. Shocking turn of events. Has only ever happened this one time at App State in 2022.
Yeah that’s really a great situation to be in with a team that was lucky to go 6-6.

Exactly. The former players are frustrated
But that doesn’t mean they are calling to fire Clark
Not sure how else to take his comment. He is saying something or someone needs to go/change? I don't disagree with him.

It’s really the most thinly veiled shot at coaches he could take without causing issues.

Twitter is of the devil. These guys were great App players, had great careers but need to watch what they type before hitting send. They no longer play for the university and can cause more harm than good.

Had another play and settled for the field goal try….we need a coach
I mean, 29 yards on the left hash is pretty solid.
Definitely reasonable to think a fumble was more likely than missing a chip shot
If you’re that scared you might never win another game….that was scared football….good coaches use opportunity….they don’t shrink from it….great example was GS calling the fake field goal
I, and others on this board, were critiquing Clark’s chicken shit football in 2020. It hasn’t changed. That’s why he gets pantsed by Napier, Chadwell, and now Helton. Those dudes don’t play scared. Scared money don’t make money (though Clark is gonna get a million dollars when he is fired at the end of next season, so…)
Might get $3M. Gillin might be making calls right now to gauge interest. My ass would be calling Luke Combs

I don’t think he’d be a very good coach. Unless he took a managerial role and hire really good assistants that did all the game planning and playcalling.

Former players saying changes need to happen does not mean they want Clark fired. They want other changes. As we all do.

For everyone that wants to keep Shawn Clark, I ask why? What do you believe is the ceiling with him at the helm? Do you only want to keep him because he is an “App guy” and we should “give a mountaineer a chance” or do you actually believe Clark is a good coach? I just don’t think Clark is a good HC personally. He doesn’t do anything special. We are a special program and school that deserves someone SPECIAL.
