Announced attendance of 4,500+ ... highest home attendance since maybe 2009-10 season. Finally won a big Saturday home game against a respectable opponent. That's great! Unfortunately, there are no more big games until next November for the home folks to get revved up about. That s****.
Still, progress has been made. Three straight winning seasons. That hasn't happened since the Era #1 Buzz teams.
Hats off for Coach Kerns, the coaching staff and our Apps! Hats off for our fine senior class...super senior Justin Forrest, "redshirt" senior James Lewis, Jr., senior/team scoring leader Adrien Delph and super senior Michael Almonacy.

My freshman son texted me before the game and said it was a huge and loud crowd

22 assists and 7 turnovers. Not sure when I’ve seen that many assists by an App bball team. We played really good team ball today and frustrated some of the better offensive players in the conference. Thankfully Manning for USA was only 4-16 from the floor. He missed tons of layups. Glad I made the trip today to see these seniors go out in one of the better played games I’ve seen by this group. Defense was locked in and thoroughly frustrated Richie Riley. Our students actually kept a “Richie crybaby counter” tally for the game and shouted it for every dramatic episode. The stats from our starting 5 tonight would be conference title worthy. I was most impressed by a Gregory, a non double figure scorer….8 points, 8 boards, 10 assists.

He was open along the base line a lot. That’s where we had a lot of the assists.

We’ve seen tremendous strides with our basketball fans. It’s not easy turning around a skeptical fan base that’s been served lemons for years. You all deserve a massive round of applause for coming around this season. Still got two big road games to go.
Let’s get it!
Let’s get it!

All of our Seniors finished with double digit scoring. An appsolutely great way for them to finish their home careers.

Great win. Hit open shots against a zone defense. If I remember correctly, they played zone against us the first time around and we did pretty well. Not very smart coaching by USA coach. However, if that is all you got...I guess you cannot adjust.Typically when you face zone, there are fewer turnovers. I wish we faced zone more often. . Can we schedule Syracuse at Holmes Center? I like our odds.

Syracuse blows, mediocre for a decade, if we hit shots, we win. Trust meBambooRdApp wrote: ↑Sun Feb 20, 2022 7:12 amGreat win. Hit open shots against a zone defense. Probably not a bad idea to make this an ongoing yearly plan, end last home game each year with a concert
