We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

Re: UNCC
I had ever expectation that Charlotte would be an improved team this year but I have to admit that I am more impressed with Healy than I expected to be. He was kind of an unknown in terms of how he would do at the FBS level, but he's definitely off to a great start. UMass seemed to be improving but indications are they've regressed again this year.
I don't think Charlotte wins CUSA but I do think they go bowling and could win 7 or 8 games in the regular season.

Re: UNCC
They don't seem to run straight ahead a lot. Good gif, but I doubt it will be a complete representation. So long as Reynolds makes the kinds of throws he did in Boone and they continue to use motion to take a guy out of the box, they should be good. That wheel route, flat, RPO combination can be effective against most every team. Throw in a slant route, assuming linebackers are used to crash the line, and you've got a recipe to have SOME success.T-Dog wrote: ↑Thu Sep 19, 2019 7:14 pmmountaineerman wrote: ↑Thu Sep 19, 2019 5:55 pmSomething tells me ... watch UNCC offense this weekend vs clempson.![]()

Re: UNCC
Lots of takes on UNCC. I really saw a pretty good (and much improved) team two weeks ago. A whole bunch of folks on this thread especially are really selling them short and obviously putting a huge amount of blame on the defense- as if UNCC was not capable of moving the ball on us if we had played better defense. Several folks in my area all agreed that their QB is not too shabby and played a great game. He put some of those passes into really tight spaces and ran hard on RPO. Their backs also run hard. Those dudes are going to win their share of games. They will probably get a butt whipping Saturday but I don't think I would shy away from them covering a 42 point spread. They will have a hard time stopping Clemson for sure but Lambert impresses me with his approach.

Re: UNCC
While I agree that they were much improved, I have to wonder how their line will stand up to the defensive pressure that Clemson will bring, and how much that will impact QB play. I have a feeling he will look like a completely different player tomorrow night, based on the heat that will be breathing down his neck.bigdaddyg wrote: ↑Fri Sep 20, 2019 10:20 amLots of takes on UNCC. Re: UNCC
On the one hand, I do agree that UNCC looks improved. On the other, some of the love people are showing them reminds me of how everyone swore Texas State was so much better after we scraped by them a couple years ago. Sometimes you just play a crap game and make the opponent look better than they are.

Re: UNCC
Lambert was our last coach, Healy is the new one.
I think the rest of your post is pretty spot on. We are going to beat some teams this year--Clemson isn't one of them. I think we will be in good company in that respect.

Re: UNCC
If we weren't up for the game, played do poorly as some here have said, and still win by two TDs, that says a lot. When we are up, look what we do. Learning process. Be up for as many as you can - maybe not possible to be sharp for 13 games?
Clemson will get all they want and give what they want up Charlotte. They will play 85 of their guys.

Re: UNCC
There’s 11:55 to go in the second quarter, Clemson is leading UNCC 24-0, and has begun subbing out starters.
The Clemson game will tell us nothing about how good or bad the niners are. Clemson is in another level.

Their Clemson game next week won’t tell us anything about the Tar Holes, either.BeauFoster wrote: ↑Sat Sep 21, 2019 7:33 pmThere’s 11:55 to go in the second quarter, Clemson is leading UNCC 24-0, and has begun subbing out starters.
