Re: Question About Seating
I'm sure there will be some students sitting up high that will love to have some seats on the first row. You may be able to switch with some in the parking lot.

Re: Question About Seating
Thanks, AppinATL. I suppose I'm looking at our allotment of tickets differently. I understood that (within our ticket allocation) Yosef donors would receive tickets by Yosef point rank. I didn't have any ideas on how good the seats were in our allotment or how many Yosef folks ahead of me might have purchased who-knows-how-many tickets.AppinATL wrote: To answer your question as it pertain to me, I sit just off the 50 at KBS, probably the 47. But that's not what I'm complaining about. I don't care that I'm on the 20 at the Bowl. I'm not that snobbish. I'm complaining about being buried in Row 1 where even if the stands are elevated a bit higher than KBS, it will be impossible to see the action over a large part of the field. I just think a season ticket holder and donor should be taken care of a little better than that.
I, too, am a season ticket holder and Yosef donor. My seats at KBS are on the "APP!" side very close to the 50 on Row GGG (3-4 rows from the top). My seats for Montgomery are in Section P, Row 24. I have no clue if those are good seats or not. I know I've been seated everywhere from the first row to nearly the top row of many an away stadium. I've always managed to enjoy the game and my App family even though there were times I did not enjoy the final score, the view, or the opposing fans.
I hope your Row 1 seats are like Row 1 is in Chattanooga or Statesboro. I'm thankful there's no track to flatten out the view. I hope that I can see from Row 24. Hopefully, the view will be great from everywhere and will be of a monstrous App win!

Re: Question About Seating
I may be wrong, but if I recall correctly seats were allocated the same way for each of the National Championship games - participating fan seats were inside 35's with corporate/local seats 15 yds on either side of the 50.

Re: Question About Seating
Exactly correct. My seats actually got "worse" in each championship game despite giving more dollars from one year to the next. Like Daphne, I have sat all over the place, bottom corner at Florida, way up high at VT,LSU,ECU and UGA. I'm in section P this weekend Row 36. Seems like most are in R. Either way, expecting a great time.AppDawg wrote:I may be wrong, but if I recall correctly seats were allocated the same way for each of the National Championship games - participating fan seats were inside 35's with corporate/local seats 15 yds on either side of the 50.

Re: Question About Seating
Yep. I remember sitting on something like Row 6 about the 25 yard line for the Delaware game. At least our crew got on TV. I still have the poster we made.AppDawg wrote:I may be wrong, but if I recall correctly seats were allocated the same way for each of the National Championship games - participating fan seats were inside 35's with corporate/local seats 15 yds on either side of the 50.

Re: Question About Seating
Humm, I had really good seats at all three NC games. But come to think of it, I always ordered the tickets from Chattanooga or the NCAA.DaphneUrquhart wrote:Yep. Re: Question About Seating
I'll just say this. If the numbers reported on here are accurate the university sold 4500 tickets max. I don't know who got in sec P and Q (the good seats) but I would bet it will not be filled with App fans that bought through the university. I know what my points ranking is and I am in R. No way they filled those two sections before they got to me assuming 4500 is the right number. I am not complaining, don't want to be accused of have an ass boil.

I'm in Section P Row 36. Doug Gillen said this morning that we sold out three entire Sections of the stadium. Now let's make some noise!!!

Re: Question About Seating
Well, I don't mind admitting that I have an ass boil. I'm in the 85th percentile in the priority points and if we indeed sold 4500 tickets, I don't see how in the hell that translates to seats on row 1 of any section.appbio91 wrote:I'll just say this. Re: Question About Seating
I'm guessing that folks above us (Priority points) ordered quite a few "extra" tickets as I don't think there was a limit. Only way I can come to terms with it.

Re: Question About Seating
I have no idea where my seats are. They are gen admin as I decided late to go. last I looked the place seated 21,000. My best guess is that I'll be able to see the game. I will then get back in the car for a 9 1/2 hr. drive home. A few days later I'll be spending Christmas with my family minus my nephew who is in the Marines over in a bad place with no seat to the game at all. I am pretty lucky.

Re: Question About Seating
My Yosef rank is listed as XX of 8,846. That would put the top 15% of folks at 1,296 people (8,846 x 15%), right?. Now, since there are fewer than 2,000 active Yosef members, we know that the 8,846 counts all donors ever. I would say that the odds of the highest donors of that 8,846 being members who stopped giving years ago are quite slim. So ... it would seem that the 85th percentile as shown on your Yosef account doesn't put you as high up the totem pole as it might seem on the surface of things.AppinATL wrote: Well, I don't mind admitting that I have an ass boil. Let's say we sold 4,500 tickets. I know that I purchased 8 tickets. For the sake of illustration discussion, I'll tell you that I'm just over the 99th percentile of that 8,846 as of today (rank changes as more people above me donate to Yosef - as bigger donors come in my rank will continue to drop). Let's say that each of the people in the 99th percentile ordered 8 tickets. That accounts for about 705 tickets (8,846 x 0.01 x 8).
If the next 1% of donors each bought 4 tickets, you're up to 1,000+ total tickets sold to the top 160 donors. You get the idea. By the time you've gone through the top 1,200 donors in the top 15% all-time, you've sold a fair number of tickets. I realize that there's not a direct mathematical correlation here. For example, one of the people in our group is in the 89th percentile. He wouldn't be counted in the top 11% of donors for this illustration because he got his tickets in our group.
Ok, ok. Enough number nerding ... time for APP FOOTBALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm pleased as punch with our seats in Section P. As nearly as I can tell, Row 24 would be the second row up in the second section. The App side has 45 rows per section; the Ohio side has 60 rows per section. The endzone seating has 17 rows per section (according to the chart) http://www.stub.com/cramton-bowl-tickets/ . From the pictures, it looks like Row 1 may be high enough to see from. I'm hoping for your sake and the sake of those around you that it is.
See you in Montgomery for the App win!

Re: Question About Seating
I may or may not have more priority points than you have. I did order 8 tickets.YesAppCan wrote:I'm guessing that folks above us (Priority points) ordered quite a few "extra" tickets as I don't think there was a limit. Only way I can come to terms with it.
This is also a good time to remind folks that pledging out multiple years earns more priority points. Thanks to all of you who support Yosef!

That is plausible. I will go with that and just be happy to be there.YesAppCan wrote:I'm guessing that folks above us (Priority points) ordered quite a few "extra" tickets as I don't think there was a limit. Only way I can come to terms with it.
