Fresh off of a Friday night rout of Presbyterian, MSOC (1-3-1) will motor up the WVa Turnpike to Huntington for a 5 PM Monday afternoon tilt with the Thundering Herd of MU (0-2-3). The two teams have played roughly equal competition, but the Herd has yet to play a road game. In fact this game will be played on MU's rust belt pitch on the banks of the Ohio River--where the Herd remains winless on the season. ASU is playing better, but MU is no Presbyterian. Slight edge to MU with home pitch advantage; hope I miss it.
FWIW, the Herd is only 3-16-4 all-time against the Apps.

At the half in Huntington, it's nil - nil. The Apps have dominated the field and have kept the pressure on MU's frosh German GK, but he's kept his slate clean so far. The Herd, on the other hand, has taken no shots.

Both goals by
Stan Broaden of Wilmington (NC) Ashley. One more would give him his first hat trick as a collegian.

Heard we dominated possession and probably should have scored another goal or two. Sounds like we're starting to play soccer and hopefully will continue to improve.
