That is more than a sweep...that has to be many pins and major decisions. I am surprised it was that big of margin. Impressive.

Duke has really fallen off in wrestling in the last few years. They had four brothers (two sets of twins) a while back who were really good, but since then they haven't been competitive. App whooped them in Varsity not that long ago.

No need for a "technically." We are straight up members of the SoCon for wrestling. Field Hockey might could become a SB sponsored sport but I think it would require a few affiliate schools. And JMU and ODU moving from a stronger conference to play App in conference. We have 3 of 6 schools needed. Bring in Bellarmine from MAC and Queens who are Independent and maybe Liberty (I just threw up in my mouth typing that.) and we have the 6 schools.

We are the only SB school for wrestling so we are not going anywhere for a LONG time it would seem. I think Ark St had wrestling up to a few years ago it seems or maybe UALR.

Watched portions of a swimming and diving meet hosted by Jay Mu this weekend. Decent facility and frankly much better athletes than I expected. Back in the day we had a competitive squad at App.

Remember the days when we used to beat UNC-CH and NC State regularly in wrestling? Year after year. We were the premier school in NC. The Appalachian High School went like 30 years without losing a match. Not joking. They fed us a lot of quality wrestlers, like the Gabriel Brothers.
