Field hockey knocks off #8 Louisville

The ladies knock off #8 Louisville 2-1 in OT shootouts.
Addie Clark with 12 saves in the goal, plus holding Louisville to 2 of 5 in the shootout period.
Note on score - you get credited for 1 goal for the shootout win, the shootout itself was 3-2 App. The game was tied 1-1 after 4 quarters and 2 sudden death OT periods.

Regular season, the last two games are next week at home Friday and Sunday bookending Homecoming. Conference tournament after that.
Their record is now 12-4

I was just coming on to post this. Beating #7/8 (there are two polls) is huge. Is this the first win over a ranked team before?
They play at home Friday and Sunday.

First Top 10 win in program history. They've beaten Top 25 before, but it's been a while.

As soon as I posted this I read on Facebook this was indeed the highest ranked team they had ever beat. First win against an ACC team since 1999.
