She did a bang-up job under very difficult circumstances . Hate to see her go but family is first!

I hate to see that. She really turned that program around. I sure hope we can continue to see progress in our oldest woman's sport at App.

Sad to see her go after the season they had. Looks like she built it up and is leaving the team better than she found it. That really is all we can ask of coaches. Best of luck to her.

Her husband is the new head men's tennis coach at Lehigh. He was the men's tennis coach here when the program was eliminated. They have three young children, so it has to have been really hard on them.

A shame cutting a men's sport might set the FH team back.

Is it safe to assume Lehigh Men's tennis pays more than App women's field hockey? Maybe a bit surprised about that if that is the case, though Lehigh may be closer to home and such as well. Not every decision is based on money for some.

I thought with another good year or two, Dawson could be in the running at her alma mater UNC, but Coach Shelton's retirement came too soon for where she had built App thus far.

We have had some conversations with Coach Dinsmore re recruiting and like her quite a bit. She should have the "interim" tag removed.
