We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

WSOC rips UNC-A in first exhibition action of 2022 season
App State WSOC, under the direction of new head coach Aimee Haywood, got off to a successful start in a home exhibition against UNC-A on Sunday afternoon. Coach Haywood's Apps will take on WCU in another exhibition match Thursday evening at 7 PM at the 'whee.
Proud triple-degree App grad--Classes of '66, '70 and '81.
If it happens to the Apps, it happens to me!

Re: WSOC rips UNC-A in first exhibition action of 2022 season
Instead of digging up an old men's soccer thread I figured I'd ask it here. Was that program really expensive to fund? How many games did they play and did we make any significant gate? I'd have to think any ticket sales probably barely covered upkeep and costs for officials and people to run the games. How many scholarships did we fund for the men's team? Could this program exist if all of the games were bus rides and with limited scholarships? Obviously we would want a competitive program but it seems like it should be possible now to bring it back. If UAB can bring football back surely we could do the same for soccer. If we did revive this program would we be required to bring back a shuttered women's team as well?

The following sports feature free admission and do not require a ticket:bigdaddyg wrote: ↑Mon Aug 08, 2022 6:26 amInstead of digging up an old men's soccer thread I figured I'd ask it here. Men's and Women's Cross Country
Field Hockey
Men's and Women's Golf
Women's Soccer
Softball
Women's Tennis
Track and Field
I suspect that men's soccer games were also free and non ticketed....
I don't understand why we got rid of men's indoor track..... How did that being eliminated save any money?

I was expecting a scathing Channel 9 article/report about UNC-A given the thread title.

Finished last place last season, so somewhat expected.
