The '19 Sun Belt WSOC regular season is down to its last two weeks/last four matches for each team. The outcomes of these last four contests will decide the last team to make the eight-team conference tourney. Our Apps are presently tied with Ga State for ninth place--both trailing Ga Sou by three points in the system used by the SBC to calculate standings. The SBC cellar is occupied by winless (0-6-0) ULM.

The Apps are real long shots to make the tourney field. They haven't been mathematically eliminated yet, but they need to win three of their last four matches and for Ga Sou to lose three of four. Not implausible; but highly unlikely considering that two of their remaining opponents are #3 A-State (home) and #1 Sou Alabama (away).

Starting with a win tomorrow (Fri) evening at Ted Mack against hapless ULM is an appsolute necessity for the team and for Coach Strickland. Now in her tenth year at the helm of the Apps, Strickland's record is increasingly becoming an issue. As of today's date, her record is 74-87-25 for a winning percentage of *gulp* .398. She can ill-afford a homecoming weekend loss to 0-6 ULM.

Apps win 3-nil. Nice start to win a tourney berth. Apps, Ga Sou and Ga State now in a three-way tie for the eighth and final tourney berth. Apps to tangle with #4 A -State on Sunday afternoon at Ted Mack; an App win could make things pretty interesting. Way to go ladies!
