The App State men's soccer team returns home Wednesday, hosting UNC-A at 7 p.m. The Mountaineers are coming off an explosive offensive performance on Saturday, taking down UNC-G, 4-2.
The Bulldogs enter Wednesday's match 1-5-1 and are coming off a 4-0 setback to Wofford on Saturday. UNCA's lone win on the season came against VMI, beating the Keydets, 2-1. UNCA was picked ninth in the Big South Preseason Poll.
This will be the 38th meeting between the two teams, with the Apps' owning a 22-11-4 advantage. The Mountaineers and Bulldogs played to a 1-1 (2OT) draw the last time they met in 2018.
The Mountaineers have almost a week off between matches, hosting East Tennessee State next Tuesday (10/1) at 7 p.m.

College soccer counts down and has no extra time. Unlike at other levels, the clock controls the game not the ref.
