The Georgia State Panthers visit HCC Friday evening for a 6:30 PM #FunBelt match with the Apps. This will be the 15th all-time meeting between Georgia State and Appalachian, with the series knotted at 7-7. App State has won the last two contests against the Panthers, including a 3-2 triumph in Atlanta earlier this season on Sept. 22. ASU improved to 17-7 overall and 9-3 in the Sun Belt with a 20-25, 25-20, 25-20, 25-20 victory over Troy on Sunday. The Black and Gold's 9-3 mark is first in the Sun Belt East division.

Georgia State recorded only its third conference victory of the season by a 3-2 count (22-25, 25-22, 26-24, 19-25, 15-13) over Little Rock on Saturday.

Emmily Cowie was injured during the Apps' first round game in the Sun Belt women's soccer tourney in Foley, AL. This is about all that has been made public...

The volleyball team has not had the injury bug like it did last year. We're seeing how much help healthy players are to the team. A 10-win season is significant!

The player I was referring to was a volleyball player. I think her name was McMath.

I think the volleyball player is Lexi Kohut. The local paper mentioned the injury, but I have not seen anything on her current status. It does not appear that she played against Ga. State yesterday.

My bad. I totally missed Lexi Kohut's injury. I did notice that she was missing from yesterday's LiveStats.

Hope her injury is minor and that her recovery is quick and complete.

After looking over the box scores, it appears that R-Jr Melissa McMath has played in only three sets since the Sunday match at Coastal Carolina. She has been a part-time starter this season so an injury might explain her reduced PT.

Soph Lexi Kohut started and played in all four sets against Troy but DNP against Ga State.
