Jason O'Keefe's '18 edition Apps take on the Fighting Camels of Campbell Saturday afternoon at 5 PM in the final exhibition of the pre-season. Campbell, "one of those teams" loaded with international talent, is expected to be led by English import and All-Big South forward J.J. Donnelly, German import and Big South '17 defensive player-of-the-year Gideon Betz and Spanish import and '17 Big South freshmen-of-the-year midfielder Alemu Mercer-Miko. The Camels finished third in the '18 Big South pre-season poll.

Other than fighting the Camels, the Apps may be fighting heavy rain and lightning to get the contest in, as unstable weather is in the forecast for all of WNC this weekend.

So, to wrap up the exhibition against Campbell, the game ended in a 1-1 draw. True freshman F Charlie Baird (Nottinghamshire, England) blasted in the lone ASU goal with an assist from true freshman F Camden Holbrook (Cary, NC--Green Hope).

By agreement between the two teams, a 30 minute extra time period was played. The Apps took the win on a goal by true freshman Mid Aldo Tarantini (Houston, TX--Bellaire) on an assist from true freshman Mid Philipp Paulin (Oberweis, Austria).

How 'bout those Mountaineer freshmen?!?!
