It's disappointing that there were no first place finishes. Maybe tomorrow.

And there are a lot of finals today (Sunday) so we have our opportunities after two days of mostly prelims.

Apparently we have little depth in the middle distance events. Our second man in the 800 M event didn't even break 2:30. That wouldn't even place third or fourth in an average 2A high school meet. I was only average in high school and always broke 2:30 in the 880 yd run and the 880 yd is longer than the 800 M.

Other runner in the Men's 800M had a seed time of 1:56.33. Perhaps he was conserving himself for the mile - the event where he was seeded higher - or had some injury issue and decided to finish but not push himself. He ran the mile the next day (Sunday) and finished 10th with a time of 3:56.94.

Good reasons!
I remember when a sub 4 min mile was a big deal.
