2025 Women's Volleyball Season

Volleyball dominated sets 1 and 2 against GaSo tonight, then dropped it in a reverse sweep by the Eagles. It was a winnable match that I really hated seeing them lose.

On to the next one - GaSo again tomorrow @ 6pm.

They beat themselves with service errors. Team looked great until the errors kicked in late in the 3rd set. Should have been a sweep for App. MeMe Davis was phenomenal with the digs.

Tough loss.
- We need to stick with the 5-1 with AH. We play so much better and the hitters are more successful with her. I don’t know what his obsession with MC is (other than she’s tall) but she clearly can’t play at this level.
- Serving is a concern. 15 missed serves and they all seemed to happen at the worst times when we had momentum.
- Davis is unreal. That’s been the only player that came with this staff that truly belongs in the SunBelt.
- Hutchens had the hot hand again, but GS coaching staff had those kids ready for her at the end of set 5. I wish our coaching staff would have wanted to go to someone else to give a different wrinkle.
- There are no excuses to blow the lead like that at the end of set 5. That falls on everyone, players & coaches.
- Need to win this 2nd match.

Apps had a match point as well.

App just killing themselves with errors again today at GaSo. Currently down 2-1 going into the 4th set. 3rd was lost 25-15.

App took off early in the 4th set but ultimately GaSo takes the match 3-1 and sweeps the weekend.

Side note, somehow GaSo can put on an ACC Network quality ESPN+ production one day and the next day barely get the booth audio on the air. Yesterday they had a NCAA VB focused ticker, their own promo graphics in the lower right, and a sideline reporter.

Amazingly, the Women’s sport that may have the most successful Fall is the golf team.
