2024 Volleyball Megathread

It's been a good Fall season for our women's athletic teams. Already one SBC title, a regular season division title, and a regular season co-champ.

As I sit here watching App go for the weekend sweep, I think about the fall sports season all around. Add a men’s cross country championship, and the soccer team is doing fairly well, despite a three game losing streak (4-3-3 in conference). All this despite the floods. Well done!

It also puts a big dent in the hurricane excuse for the performance of the football team. But that belongs in a different thread, which I’m sure I will bring up in the near future.

Good win for AppVB last night in 5 sets over Troy. That OH for Troy that is their schools all-time leader in Kills is something else, apparently she is from N.C.

App wins first set 28-26. Started off looking easy. Overcome like 4 or so serves out of bounds.

We couldn't serve our return serve today. A lot of mistakes that will get us beat tomorrow if they don't clean it up. Texas State looked good

Solid season. After the non-conference matches, I thought this team would struggle to get out of the bottom of the SunBelt, but players stepped up and they started playing together more than what they had. The freshman group has potential and App returns a good but of talent so hopefully they can build from this.
