Is anyone using or acquainted with Installx, LLC; W3i, LLC; InstallQ Manager; finedownloads.com; musicoasis.com and any of their affiliate sites? They claim to be free and legal alternatives to Limewire for free and legal music library downloads, plus a plethora of free screensavers, software apps, clipart, utilities, toolbars, and other tools ad infinitum.
If you're a consumer of any of these offerings, have you had to deal with any issues with privacy, software conflicts, general hassle-factors or other things that might make me wise to steer clear?
Any of your experiences with these "folks" would be of interest to me.
Thanks in advance.

Don't touch these guys. Here is info to back me as a source to not touch them. Adware installers.

Never heard of findownloads but I looked it up and it was just started in 2012 so more than likely it is just another one of the hundreds of thousands of sites like it that get taken down in due time.
I have heard of musicoasis but have never used it. It has had mixed reviews since it was started a few years back. With the free addons on firefox I just download the music I want from youtube and then just use an mp4 to mp3 converter and I have all the music I want with that. From there you can slap it in Itunes or any mp3 player. There are just too many options like this one nowadays that I don't bother with downloading websites like the old limewire.
