Good thoughts for others who's kids hurt them

Daughter officially has decided to go to Chapel Hill.
She isn't even waiting on her last application (Clemson). And had gotten into the honors college at App with some extra scholarships included. Guess it is better than UT that she was stuck on recently, that OOS tuition stuff is insane.

Thanks. Hopefully only 3 years for her undergrad, but wants to be a doctor, so college forever.
But I'm going to be made to go to their football/basketball games on occasion.

I just became a Running Bulldog. Daughter started PA school this semester at Gardner Webb. One semester at App. finished nursing school at UNCC and now on to GW. Short sample but so far we are impressed with GW and her experience at UNCC was a good one.

Well, you can protest on silence.
Grew up going to their games. It is not too bad...

Congrats to her!
I know it's not a popular place on these boards, but pretty much everyone I know who went to UNC seems to have had a great experience there.

I grew up a Carolina fan as well. Only went to like 1 football game of theirs though. Plenty of basketball games.

It should be good since I’d hope their med school would be more apt to accept her based on her undergrad there.
I had plenty of friends there while I was at App. Including one friend that transferred there after freshman year at App. They all liked it. I applied to only App and UNC so guess I can’t say much.

I should also mention that the grades you have to have to get into colleges is insane these days. She was worried about not getting into UNC and some of her friends didn’t with weighted gpa of like 4.25
No way I could get into App out of high school right now.

Dude....you gotta draw the line somewhere..... I told my boys I'll pay for their college unless they go to UNC. Luckily they hate them as much as I do.

Wife is the one making me go. She’s been wearing UNC stuff since daughter took the tour.

With an 89% acceptance rate you'd only need to find 11 people out of 100 to apply with worse grades than yours

Now I'm not advocate of divorce.... but in some instances.... LOL! I wish your kiddos well! I have one headed to NC State after next year and one headed to MIT. Fun times!

From my HS gpa, that might be tough.

I can hold out hope for my 2 boys, but one wants astrophysics and the other only cares about soccer, so App probably isn't likely.
