Texas Western over Kentucky in ‘66?

Oh, wait a minute. Wrong sport. But both balls are round. With the other ball, it’s be Appalachian State over Michigan.
I was referring to Women's Cricket! But those are legit answers as well.

Why was Germany’s 4th goal not ruled offsides?

What is the biggest upset winner of all time for the WC?
For just a group stage game it was Saudia Arabia's win over Argentina this year. One of the biggest upsets I've ever seen. For the World Cup itself..... Hrmm... Had to do some digging in that one.
Wasn’t there some controversy ?

Not over that game (least none I have heard). There was some scuttlebutt over Qatar trying to buy off the Ecuadorian players. Something like 7.4 Million to 8 diff players. Didn't work out for them as Qatar was the first host nation to not win a game in the group stage.

These Serbian and Swiss players are big dudes. Some of them could play with that other shaped football.

Netherlands is a tough tough team. One of my fav teams.....however, this is def a winnable game for the US. Someone will have to step up to help Pulisic out today. Dest is actually a citizen of the Netherlands but chose to play with the US since he has played so many years here. He's the Key to today's match. #goUSA ,#USmnt #soccer #shocktheworld

That was surgical ball movement. Well done Netherlands, that is how the beautiful game is played.

That was also some lazy player marking by the US defense. The player that was lightly jogging behind Memphis just cost them a goal.

Ball moves faster than players. Every pass was 1-2 touches and we didn’t catch up, you could see coming from 40 yards out.

Go back and watch Tyler Adams lightly jogging and not contesting Memphis. He let his guard down for a min and it bit him.

US came out strong but the Netherlands have made enough in game adjustments to regain control of this game. They def don't look like they are suffering from the flu. We shall see how they hold up second half. If the US goes down 2 - 0 I'm not sure they have the firepower to come back. I've seen crazier things in world cup... So fingers crossed.

2-0. Our defense is slow and doesn't adjust well. Dest lazily defending. He got caught flatfooted and bam....

Probably the equivalent of being down 28-0 at the half of a football game. It's amazing that from a purely numbers perspective (population and country size) that the US can't put a team together to beat one from most countries a fraction the size of the United States.

Was talking with a client of mine who is Argentinian and lives in London, he basically said the same thing. The problem is that the US is decades behind the rest of the world in terms of youth development. Kids even 15 years ago couldn’t see high level soccer (football) on tv and there wasn’t streaming back then. Now kids can see how the game “should” be played. It’s going to take another 10-15 years, but if we continue to develop at the youth level, we will eventually become a power.

The sheer population of the US, along with the number of athletes in the country should almost promise that. can you imagine someone like Armanti Edwards, who had an insane amount of athletic ability, playing soccer from an early age instead of football? And being properly developed? The talent is there.
