I'll still root like hell for the US team but at the same time find the game (in general) boring to watch. I mean no offense to those who love it.

No offense but posting on a subject you find boring is asinine.

The title of the thread is World Cup. Seems like opinions and comments could go any way. To say a comment is asinine after also saying no offense is...oh never mind.

But I said “no offense” offering my opinion, it makes everything ok using your logic.

People engaging in conversations they find boring are special.

That was a pretty exciting last several minutes to both matches this afternoon anticipating if Mexico or Argentina would score another goal so Mexico could make it to the knockout round.

Lots of high energy in the stands on both games. The fans were into it. Should expect the same tomorrow either so much at stake.

Soccer is like politics and religion; you can't say anything without someone getting their feelings hurt.

No. Even with a win today (which they don’t appear to be on track to get), they cannot advance. The US is carrying the continental flag.

Strong chance unless Costa Rica can upset Germany, that US is the only team from CONCACAF to advance.

For just a group stage game it was Saudia Arabia's win over Argentina this year. One of the biggest upsets I've ever seen. For the World Cup itself..... Hrmm... Had to do some digging in that one.

Texas Western over Kentucky in ‘66?

Oh, wait a minute. Wrong sport. But both balls are round. With the other ball, it’s be Appalachian State over Michigan.
