Re: World Cup
Too much tormoil on the Portugal team. Morocco played tough and they should enjoy their success. Next round will be tougher for them. I hate that for Ronaldo and Portugal. This world cup has seen some awesome games and surprises.

Re: World Cup
I hoping that the 3 Lions can pull this win off. France is now the team to beat in this WC.

Re: World Cup
England has had some good shots but couldn't convert. France has had the answer on defense.... France is playing dangerously sitting so far back and letting England advance without pressure. That's going to bite them.

Re: World Cup
I was pulling for the Three Lions but I have to admit the French fan in the stands after the game with the beret, the horizontal striped shirt and a baguette which he took a bite out of while the camera was on him won me over.
Play a silly stereotype to the hilt and you will win me over. It was worth a French win if I can see that two more times.

This is my very generic signature added to each post.

Re: World Cup
I haven't watched all the games but of those I've watched the ref has been terrible. What did I expect... it's soccer

Re: World Cup
Believe it or not... The refs have been fairly good this world cup. The Argentina game and this game they were horrid. Argentina shouldn't have had a single player left on the field. Messi should have had a yellow for his intentional handball which would have sent him off when he got his second (toward the end of the game). 8 of the Argentinians had yellows but none got second ones. It was weird. One Dutch player got sent off with a red. Really piss poor reffed game. Paredes should have gotten a red card and sent off for intentionally kicking the ball into the bench trying to hit the Dutch players and coaches. I hate it for the Dutch but it is what it is.

Oh, they do. But the officials aren't employed by a very clearly corrupt organization..../\PP ST/\TE GRAD 09 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 10, 2022 10:09 pmSo terrible calls don't exist in other sports?
Soccer is awesome. Fun to watch. Fifa soccer is horrendously corrupt and not fun to watch.

Re: World Cup
FIFA is corrupt. Won't ever argue that, but personally I've enjoyed most of the matches.AppStateNews wrote: ↑Sat Dec 10, 2022 10:18 pmOh, they do. The offsides technology and lack of time spent with VAR has been a plus for me, but somehow while it speeds the dead period up, there still seems to be an excessive amount of stoppage time at the end of each half.
Would be cool to see a Croatia v.s. Morocco final.

Re: World Cup
Croatia can win this game.... Just play Croatia ball and watch Messi sneaking around waiting for the ball.
