Re: World Cup
Tomorrow's.games:
Japan v Costa Rica @ 5am
Belgium v Morocco @ 8am
Croatia v Canada @ 11am
Spain v Germany @ 2pm
My picks
Japan
Belgium
Croatia
Germany
Japan showed they can ball and if they stick to what works they can win this game.
Belgium should have no issues in this game.
Canada may have consummated themselves by trash talking Croatia. Croatia seems motivated to put this one in the win column
Spain has been firing on all cylinders but Germany is my team and I know they have a good enough team to beat Spain. It's either win or go home.

Re: World Cup
Holy crap..... Morocco!!! Wow.... They played a great game and had Belgium looking like a blind goat trying to find food in the dark. Belgium had better be thankful they won the Canadian game.

Re: World Cup
Now that was an exciting match! - action all over the field, many attempts at goal, some turned back and some blown chances, goalies handling the ball right in front of the goal (dangerous?) and both teams had a very good chance to score in the waning moments. That was fun to watch.

Re: World Cup
In the 2nd half, Germany had a direct kick just outside the box. Spain set up the defensive wall and had one player lie down at the feet of those in the wall. I’ve never seen that before. Q: What is the strategy there?

I guess the wall could jump and not worry about a shot on the ground but I’ve also never seen that.Cro-Magnon App wrote: ↑Sun Nov 27, 2022 3:59 pmIn the 2nd half, Germany had a direct kick just outside the box. It is a recent development and to prevent skidding a ball along the ground.Cro-Magnon App wrote: ↑Sun Nov 27, 2022 3:59 pmIn the 2nd half, Germany had a direct kick just outside the box. Re: World Cup
What's the damage costs and the death toll up to at this point? Any wars started yet?
Btw. We need some Saudi Arabian NIL deals. They bought their team $450,000 phantoms for winning one game.
Loving the reactions from all the upsets from non European teams.

Re: World Cup
The fans from the UK are gonna brawl. They don’t need a reason. They’ve always brawled and if no enemy shows up, they’ll brawl with each other. I suspect bad things are going to happen surrounding this game with Wales. Maybe the committee should have fixed it so these two neighbors were not in the same group.
