I've been hoping all year that he'd fall in love with Boone/App and change his mind and play for Dad.

Just drafted in the second round by the SF Giants. He may not be going to play college ball anywhere.

That could be some serious money. Last year the salary range for a second round major league player ran from $762,000 Kansas City paid to SS Jason Taylor to $330,000 the White Sox paid RHP Matthew Long.

Jones picked in 2nd round, overall 64 by Giants. Wonder if he and dad are listening any to the Giants? Stanford education and baseball vs possible guaranteed millions?

If that's the case, I could see him come through Richmond (AA affiliate of SF) by the end of the season.

nothing I have seen, but the "slot value" of the 64th pick is $872,100
