That will be a great trip. One of my daughters got her masters at St Andrews and we went over several times during that year and always had a great time. Everything about the town is just so cool and fun, and I don't even golf (although we did walk much of the course bc it is open). If you make it to the Criterion Pub, be sure to get a Cri Pie (you won't regret it, I would fly back there just for one more), Tail End has the best fish and chips in town. St Andrews Brewing Company has good beers and history of beer making in St Andrews. If you haven't already made reservations for food, try to do so now or just plan on eating in pubs. I am sure it will be different bc the town will be packed but even in slow times most places expect reservations and it is really hard to get in without any.
