Our vodka suppliers are diversified as well, yet we rushed out to take all the Russian vodka off the shelves.

Places like Germany and Finland get a much higher % of their oil supply from Russia. I hope they impose oil related sanctions against Russia, however, that may be difficult given their amount of dependence on it. I am not confident they will. Although not a large % of Russia's lol export is not to US, I would like to see from a general stance against the invasion perspective.
Trivial fact: We bought a carton of 10 boxes of 12 gauge shotgun shells, target load from DeWitts skeet range near Ellerbee. They were Wolf brand and made in Russia.

Thankfully, no cable, satellite or streaming TV packages for me for last 8 years. READ; but NOT stuff from social media shares.

A real clean perspective! As a junior at APP in 1973 we started the year at 25 cents a gallon and by December (time to go home for Christmas break) it was 50 cents a gallon. On top of that I was limited to 5$ when buying gas to go home because we were in a oil shortage. Thank goodness there is no shortage now we would be having mass suicides.HighlandsApp wrote: ↑Thu Mar 10, 2022 9:55 amhttps://www.marketwatch.com/story/the-p ... 1646770318

Interesting. $0.25 a gallon would not pay the state and federal tax on a gallon of gasoline at present.pop5app wrote: ↑Thu Mar 10, 2022 10:25 amA real clean perspective! People in North Carolina pay the highest in state and federal gas taxes, at 57.55 cents per gallon.

They seem to have enough asphalt for speed bumps but not for potholes.

Gasoline taxes, like all sales taxes are a very regressive tax, wasn't very long ago that there used to be taxes on luxury cars, boats and RV's. Now the luxury boat and the luxury RVs get a tax deduction like your house.

I wish the News media would change how they refer to targeted civilian deaths. They were murdered not just killed, soldiers are killed in combat.
The Ukraine war, should be referred to as the Ukraine war of independence.

Re: Prayers for people under the Russian thumb.
What really grinds my gears is the US only imported about 8% of our crude oil from Russian sources. The pre Russian oil ban price of gas in Indy was about 3.25. I may be nieve and I know that getting others sources up and running to the refineries takes time but....pop5app wrote: ↑Thu Mar 10, 2022 10:25 amA real clean perspective! Download the Get Upside app to find deals on gas. The Shell gas station in my area is offering $0.20 off a gallon. For my truck that's about $5 saved each time I go from empty to full. I used it before all of this inflation and war mess and have saved quite a bit. They also offer deals for restaurants, grocery stores, and deals for buying inside the gas station. Won't be mad if you use my referral code belowGreatAppSt wrote: ↑Fri Mar 11, 2022 8:35 amWhat really grinds my gears is the US only imported about 8% of our crude oil from Russian sources. WION is reporting that the armored column north of Kyiv has disbursed or is disbursing, into the surrounding area in what could be pre-assault positioning.

Yeah, it seems like some of our anger is pointed toward the wrong people/entities.GreatAppSt wrote: ↑Fri Mar 11, 2022 8:35 amWhat really grinds my gears is the US only imported about 8% of our crude oil from Russian sources.
