Sanctions are most of what we (NATO and other countries opposing this invasion)have as a defense against Russia invasion. Places like Germany and Finland get a much higher % of their oil supply from Russia. I hope they impose oil related sanctions against Russia, however, that may be difficult given their amount of dependence on it. I am not confident they will. Although not a large % of Russia's lol export is not to US, I would like to see from a general stance against the invasion perspective.

Trivial fact: We bought a carton of 10 boxes of 12 gauge shotgun shells, target load from DeWitts skeet range near Ellerbee. They were Wolf brand and made in Russia.

Interesting. $0.25 a gallon would not pay the state and federal tax on a gallon of gasoline at present.

Gasoline taxes, like all sales taxes are a very regressive tax, wasn't very long ago that there used to be taxes on luxury cars, boats and RV's. Now the luxury boat and the luxury RVs get a tax deduction like your house.

What really grinds my gears is the US only imported about 8% of our crude oil from Russian sources. The pre Russian oil ban price of gas in Indy was about 3.25. I may be nieve and I know that getting others sources up and running to the refineries takes time but....

+10% =3.57
+20% =3.90 Hmm well okay?
+30% =4.22 Are you kidding me?
+40% =4.54 WTF is going on here? This is about where the price is here overnight, Its gouging my friends pure and simple.
