Jets wanted him last year. Browns and Giants wanted him this year. There must be a reason everybody keeps calling the guy. Also apparently he's a big analytics guy, kind of opposite of the old school approach that Rivera had which is what Tepper was looking for. We'll see how it works out.

I was thinking maybe you had a name in mind. Yes, it definitely can change all assistant job searches. Depends on if anyone for us has a connection to Rhule, I would think?

I'm not too worried because I believe we should give Clark 100% trust at first and see how things look this year. The good thing about our roster is that it should not take more than 4-5 weeks to see if the hire looks to pan out. We have the talent. I have no skin in the game regarding the Panthers, but a seven year deal? That seems crazy to me.

Yeah that contract is massive for a first time NFL coach. 7 years, $60 million with an additional $10 million/yr in bonus opportunity.

That was after taking a 2-win Temple team into a 10-win Temple team (two years in a row, winning their division one year and their conference the next).
Rhule can coach.

Not only has he proven he can coach, he also fits the direction the owner wants to go in. Tepper is aggressive and not afraid to open the check book. Way too much money, he's been successful in a not so strong league, and I'm just not a fan of the college to NFL hires, they usually don't work out. That doesn't mean he won't be successful, I hope he is, I was hoping for Bienemy from the Chiefs.
