I mean yeah they aren't paid, the $80,000 scholarship is nice though.

Funny bit, but students shouldn’t be paid by the school. They should be able to be compensated two ways:
1. Scholarships
2. students should be able to make money on autographs and should get a profit share from jerseys etc. If you are good enough for it, you should receive compensation for it. It’s the American way. You would have to heavily regulate some things due to boosters, but it wouldn’t change much from today considering these things are already happening,

NCAA is not only a business, it has become a political agent of the worst kind. The NCAA lost sight of what is best for students long ago, but this is an example where their greed has kept college athletics as it should be - free of professional athletes.

So a Computer Science major gets praise for making money on the side by writing code.
An art major is lauded for selling a painting in a gallery.
A student athlete can’t take a cent for an autograph while his coach receives a multimillion dollar salary. That’s FUBAR and morally corrupt.

The only difference is the computer science major isn’t putting his body and the potential of getting a major, life changing injury on the line.
Meanwhile ncaa and colleges profit from the players risk.
As much as it hurts, there’s a lot of truth in the satire in this clip

Is the school paying the art major or the computer science major?

Is the school making money off the computer science major? And are they using the money that the computer science major brings in to pay large salaries to coaches and admins instead of compensating student?

If they’re running one of the computer labs yes, and when my mother was an art major the University purchased one of her works of art.
