Christmas for an eleven year old

Unread post by NewApp » Fri Dec 09, 2016 2:46 pm

Does anyone have a good idea of what to buy an 11 year old boy for Christmas?

Thanks for the suggestion, but I live in the city limits with no place to ride. Besides, that's way out of my price range.

A pocket knife is a right of passage for boys that age. They just can't take it to school, anymore, like we did back in the day.

I remember my principal needing my help breaking down some boxes. He asked like it was expected I had my pocket knife on me, which I did.

Dick's was running a sale on college sweatshirts. $20 earlier in the week. Not sure if it's still on.

My 11 y-o wants receiver gloves and a new football. Other options are pro team jerseys, hats, shirts.

Remembering that you mentioned it is a boy: Cool, bright colored tennis shoes, sports logo branded hoodies/pullovers or other clothing, gaming stuff, boy scout stuff if applicable, ipod or the like and cards for music with which to fill it, a bike, a laptop/chromebook/tablet, books and a library card, hair products, deodorant and snacks.

Good advice. He already got a lot of camping gear for Boy Scouts.

I can't afford to buy season tickets for all three of us, plus pay outrageous Boone motel prices on a retirement income.

We are getting him a rabbit and a hutch, a fishing tackle box as well as a ton of camping equipment for Boy Scouts. He also is going to Chicago for about a week to see his 93 year old adoptive Great Granddaddy and to see the Chicago Symphony.

A youth beginners Golf set. being 11 years old he would only need a putter, pitching wedge, 8-6-4 irons and a 3 wood. bag, and balls. He can play in his running shoes. It's a game he can play for life.

He already has a lifetime deer hunting license, but it's in his pre-adoptive name so I can't let him see it.
