It has been over 4 years ago as our daughter is on her last semester, during her orientation, they had sessions for first generation college kids. Although our daughter was not, I thought that was a great session to have ..you don't know what you don't know so to speak.biggie wrote: ↑Mon Feb 03, 2025 5:29 pmThis reminds me of the FL people I knew at App that only had been up during summer prior to starting school. Had not prepped for winter at all.Saint3333 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 03, 2025 4:28 pmSome interesting tidbits about App's enrollment:
- 21,570 students
- 91% undergrad
- 57% female
- 10.3% or 2,223 are out of state
- Top five states are SC, VA, GA, FL, TN
- over 6k are first generation students, a shocking number really
- 204 students are over 50, still a chance old timers

Little shocked there is that many families that have 1st gen students.
And crap I'm getting close to that 50 mark but those are undergrad #s for over 50 I assume, I haven't seen to many in my grad classes that are over 50. I seem to be the oldest in most of my classes so far.
If nothing else, you find out that you are not in this by yourself...
