We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

Re: Someone please explain this currency
None of the block chain currencies will exist too much longer. Once more chips like Google Willow are avaliable and attached to the quantum computers being produced they will be easily hacked and manipulated like nothing and thus lose all value. Willow is an AI powered quantum chip that can do calculations in hours or days that takes our current best super computers septillion+ years to compute. So yea, I guess consider block chain currency more of a short term investment that's waiting for the billionaires to pull the rug and leave the rest in a crypto wasteland.

Google’s willow is ~100 qubits and it would take more than a decade to break block chain code.
Now technology is exponential vs linear and compute will accelerate.
Don’t “invest” in crypto what you aren’t willing to risk to the tune of slots level risk in Vegas.
To daze’s point, Blackstone is invested in it, get out before they do.

So, are you saying computing power can’t crack blockchain code? Or that it can/will be able to soon?Saint3333 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 30, 2024 5:59 pmGoogle’s willow is ~100 qubits and it would take more than a decade to break block chain code.

It's kind of what makes it valuable- central banking has too much control. Blockchain gives proof of value without some "shadow overseer"

I agree for the most part. But some of the tech has significant utility value with the way things are going, mainly XRP, which makes it a great investment.Saint3333 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 30, 2024 5:59 pmGoogle’s willow is ~100 qubits and it would take more than a decade to break block chain code.

Re: Someone please explain this currency
I imagine these new chips will advance our chip making abilities and 100 cubits will be the tip of the iceberg. Y'all should watch some YouTube videos of the tech conferences or of the real techies explaining where this is headed. Cubits, time crystals, information/light teleportation.
It's starting to make me think of the series wrinkle in time with terrasecting space/time travel.

Re: Someone please explain this currency
It can’t currently. At today’s rate it would take a decade, it will be able to in the future in theory, that timeframe is uncertain.Bootsy wrote: ↑Wed Jan 01, 2025 5:01 pmSo, are you saying computing power can’t crack blockchain code? Welp, Nvidia now has Sentinel X chip thay does over 500 qubits. This chip is wild.
