We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

Re: Colorado character
Its an all about me society now. These young men are supposed to be representing the University of Colorado. Over the years academics and activists on college campuses have had a lot to say about objectifying and demeaning women. Yep it’s a free country and its their money but just because you can do something doesn’t mean you should do it. If I was running the show at Colorado it sure wouldn’t be what I would accept. I would demand better, much better. And if that cost me a game or a season so be it.

Re: Colorado character
Just about as lame as you can get to sit at home and spend your time on message boards whining about how college kids spend and acquire their money. But to each their own.

Re: Colorado character
I never complained how he earned his money. Not did I complain about how he spent his money. I simply pointed out that he treated his teammates to a strip club during bowl prep. I didn't realize simply reporting something that actually took place was off limits here.

Re: Colorado character
If you don't think that college athletes and strip clubs go hand in hand regardless of bowl prep...well I'll just leave it at that. Not saying it's right but it's been happening a long time. Happens a TON on recruiting trips and before and after seasons are done.hapapp wrote: ↑Sat Jan 04, 2025 8:44 pmI never complained how he earned his money. This is probably hurting App. St. in the portal.. prospective athletes weigh the positive and the negative of each town they have to reside in..Appmountaineers19 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 04, 2025 8:46 pmIf you don't think that college athletes and strip clubs go hand in hand regardless of bowl prep...well I'll just leave it at that. Again not saying it's right. Just find the Portis interview on YT but you may be correct.BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Sat Jan 04, 2025 8:50 pmThis is probably hurting App. St. in the portal.. prospective athletes weigh the positive and the negative of each town they have to reside in..Appmountaineers19 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 04, 2025 8:46 pmIf you don't think that college athletes and strip clubs go hand in hand regardless of bowl prep...well I'll just leave it at that. Re: Colorado character
We need to go back to the 80s where players went to strip clubs and no one on social media found out.

I don’t remember players renting out a Strip club for multiple days with payola while they were preparing for a bowl game.

Re: Colorado character
It’s ironic you scolding folks about their lame takes on a message board, on the exact same message board. And even more ironic to end it with “to each their own” as you are clearly bothered by the position taken on the topic by some So much so that you couldn’t follow your own advice

It wasn't on social media or websites in the 80s so of course we don't remember it.Seattleapp wrote: ↑Sat Jan 04, 2025 9:34 pmI don’t remember players renting out a Strip club for multiple days with payola while they were preparing for a bowl game.

Re: Colorado character
Social media is part of it and I’m no saint. I know young men have always gone to strip clubs. But this seams a little different. They were on a trip representing the university and it looks like it was basically a team activity. For some of you guys this is all very one sided, the universities seem to owe the players everything and the players seem to owe the universities and frankly the fans nothing. And probably even worse in my opinion, individual players seem to owe their coaches and teammates nothing. I’m going to keep refusing to accept that.

Re: Colorado character
It’s sorta funny the lengths some will go to defend every single decision these kids make. These dudes literally rented a strip club out for multiple days ahead of a game and the stance is “why is everyone being so uptight”? What planet are we on where kids who still technically are student athletes are taking NIL money and renting out strip clubs right before their game? I feel like I’m in a cookoo clock .Mjohn1988 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 04, 2025 10:02 pmSocial media is part of it and I’m no saint. I know young men have always gone to strip clubs. Re: Colorado character
If I am a Colorado grad...I would have a huge problem with this. If I were seeking out a school to attend this story would put Colorado at the bottom of my list. Choices have consequences. The young men on the team made a choice....now the Chancellor of Colorado has a choice. His/Her choice WILL have consequences. There is a lot of money that flow through universities and the voter makes a lot of decisions of if that money flows or not. This may look like a boys will be boys incident, but the number one goal of a college football team and why so much money goes into them is brand awareness. This looks like the Colorado brand just got "Brand Awareness".

What they did was wrong no matter how you spin it. And more may be coming. The culture there seems to toxic. Read the articles. I hope it doesn’t have an influence anywhere else.
