RPI #297 ASU (3-13, 1-4 SunBelt) faces
RPI #239 A-State's Red Wolves (6-7, 4-0 SunBelt) in Jonesboro, AR at 8:05 PM Sat. on ESPN3 and 7:30 PM on the App Sports Network.
The Red Wolves are better than their overall record. They're six points away from being 9-4--having lost three very close games.
ASU's record to date has been justly earned with poor shooting and ball-handling by both very young players and a cadre of seniors.
By the numbers, A-State is a 16 point favorite. In fact, it'll depend on which of Jim Fox's teams gets off the jet--the team that shoots 29% from the floor or the one that shoots 53%....the one that commits 22 turnovers or the one that commits only 8.
The Apps need a win. A-State needs to see how it feels to see a perfect conference record go down the drain in front of the home fans.

We seem to really struggle on the road. I would love to be pleasantly surprised but...

I hope Coach Fox is on to something, or a light bulb kicked on in the players.

This is really promising. The fact they can't do it every night is the inexperience and maybe sneaking up on some opponents.

They're crowd is no better than ours. They're 4-0 and in 1st place and only had a crowd of 1,615.
