He is not on the roster for the Web site, but Jonathan Frye is listed on the Quick Facts PDF for the 2012-13 season. Does anyone know the story on him and whether he's eligible to play this season? I know that he originally signed with Buzz, Buzz left and then he reopened his recruitment and ended up at Tulane, where he didn't play a game last year. 6-4 shooting guard from the Greensboro area

There is a Jonathan Frye in the student directory.. If he is going to be playing for us, that's a huge pickup.. If I remember correctly, coach McKillop from Davidson said Frye reminded him of a young Stephen Curry...

Yep, that's the same guy on the quick facts. Amazing how that turned out. He suffered a major concussion at Tulane and left school during the 2010-11 season. If he's still a freshman, that means he got a medical redshirt for that year.

He's now on the roster and it says he has four years of eligibility left. That's a GREAT pickup.

Well, he has been added to the roster on the Web site now and there is a picture of him in an App tie. If he is the same player he was before the concussion, this could be a big deal for ASU this season. I think he may be good friends with Canty and that's how he ended up here.
