Eaves Honored by SunBelt Conference
Appalachian State junior Frank Eaves earned the Sun Belt Conference men's basketball weekly honor following a career week. The junior guard from Greensboro, N.C., averaged 25.0 points and 6.7 rebounds per game last week which included two games where he set his career high in scoring. He first set his career mark with 29 points in a 69-64 win at Troy on Monday.
Eaves followed it up with 15 points and a career-high-tying seven rebounds in a 64-53 win against South Alabama on Thursday. He also dished out a career high five assists against the Jaguars. He then set his new career high in scoring with 31 points (16 in the first half) and rebounds with eight in a 64-58 win at Texas State. He set a career high in field goals made (10) in the game. He also grabbed five steals on the week.
