What a great game Saturday! Apologize for any grammatical errors, etc. Haven't had a chance to proofread yet, but wanted to go ahead and share.

I was there and you pretty much nailed it. This was just a taste of things to come. I love this team and their heart and determination. I can't wait to see the day, maybe as soon as next season, when the HCC crowd surpasses 5,000 - 6,000 and we really do blow the roof off the place.

App Hoops, thanks for writing a tremendous post-game report. The intensity of your report had me on the edge of my chair the whole time. Man, I missed a great one! I've got to make the time to be in Boone for a "winter" Saturday afternoon. I was in Charlotte for the 49ers game. I saw then what you are describing now: a well coached team that has the chemistry and will to WIN. Thanks again for the article, a great game for the team and App fans. Go App!

Won't it be cool in another year or so when we don't have topics with this type of subject in regards to Sunbelt wins?! These type of messages will be reserved for wins over P5's in football and traditional powers in hoops. Wins over Sunbelt foes will be expected and won't raise an eyebrow. At least that is how I hope to see it.

Re: App Hoops: Reliving Saturday's Upset
Saturday was the loudest I've heard the Holmes Center since UNCC came up the mountain 2008.
It's funny to think that the HCC can get so loud with a seemingly small crowd (there were 2,600 people there on Saturday, right?). There's a lot of work for Jim Fox to do but if App State basketball can average more than 3,000 per game it can be a great place to watch a college game.

It was a great game to attend. It was my first one in the Homes Center in quite some time. I took this picture at the beginning of the men's game. It doesn't give the attendance justice, since it did fill in more as the game progressed.
