Football kicks off tomorrow, but basketball is just around the corner!

On the surface, it would appear that Coach Fox has bolstered his team roster from top to bottom. He's bolstered the post with big guys who can mix it up in the paint (now sporting 7 guys 6-7 or taller); he's bolstered the PG position with Goesling, Jackson, Sanders and the *gulp* 6-5 Babic; he's bolstered the shooting guard slot with Babic, Hodson and Goesling; and game stats on all these players indicate they are capable of shooting lights-out. The icing on the cake is that all of the new signees are considered to be excellent students. Several are honors students. That should fix the academic progress rate (APR) penalty issue.

That a nice off-season roster overhaul. Extremely impressive for the late start that Fox had to manage.

The team that takes the floor in November will have a distinct "Davidson" look about it. Lets hope they'll be playing more like Davidson teams in February--even though the post-season is a no-no thanks to JCapel.
