About all we need to know about this one is that Davidson is playing at home with a nice RPI #133 on their vita; while AppState is still winless against D-I and has climbed all the way up to RPI #340 by losing three games in a row. What??? What a sad case the bottom 20 must be when you can loose three straight and move up.

Did I mention that Long Island Luke still coaches Davidson with that hatchet brand of basketball?

Not to pile on to Cline but the website is now appstatesports.com. goasu still works and I am sure they will pay the few dollars to keep the domain to forward, but just in case it does go away, it is worth remembering the change.

I'm disappointed, of course, but our kids did have some fight in them tonight. There were too many fouls; too few tall, strong Mountaineers in the low post; poor outside shooting; and too lax a defense. Toss in clanging layups off *the bottom* of the rim as has come to be commonplace; and Bob McKillop on the other bench, and it is what it is.

We're four D-I players and an experienced, teaching coaching staff away from a pretty decent team. Throw in Lawson and we're three players away. So some progress next season with the right staff and maybe some SunBelt noise in 2016. Hope and pray I/we live to see it.

Also hope and pray JCapel lands on his feet somewhere that he can regain respect and get some experience under a seasoned head coach. He was just tossed into the deep end of the pool with no kiddy floats. He's drowning one game at a time.

Davidson kept us in the game shooting an uncharacteristic 16 of 29 from the FF line.

I will say I am very proud of the effort from last night. If we played like that every night we would be able to win a fair amount of conference games. There is one thing about this team that drives me crazy though. We go 5-10 minutes in every game without scoring or scoring very little. Just wondering if anyone else had noticed that as well?

This team should be pretty decent next year with a new coach. He gets Lawson who could be very solid, Canty who is pretty good, Neal and Tab who are decent players, plus I am sure the new coach can make Obacha a better offensive player. App has some solid pieces moving forward.

If this keeps up the Holmes Center is going to be like Varsity Gym during the Maravich days when people used to study there because it was too noisy in the library.

Davidson is 11th in the conference in FT shooting. Only App State is worse.
