UNC-G @ AppState

RPI #237 UNC-G visits HCC tonite to take on our RPI #345 Apps. Briefly stated, UNC-G is hard to figure--having lost at home to RPI #350 Presbyterian by 21; then coming from behind to beat VaTech in Blacksburg. Go figure.

Our AppState guys take on the G tonite in full knowledge that they also lost to Presbyterian--the team that sits below them in most media rankings.

Given all this; and the elaborate formulas used by the RPI firms, the Apps should be 6 point underdogs; but...

L@@KY here...we have a season first on our hands, folks. RealTimeRPI.com's scouting report has established our Apps as the favorites to pick up their first Division I win tonite. Wonders never cease. A win tonite could give our guys enough confidence to make a run in McKillop's playhouse on Saturday. A loss tonite could fuel a "going through the motions" effort at Lake Norman.

Go get a "W" Apps! Get the monkey off your backs.

Presby is #350, but they are having their way with the SoCon. If they were a member, they might be dancing in March. :|

Wretched performance by a poorly coached team. Had hoped Kummer, with a good experience w/Lutz, would assert himself and become the backbone of the staff. Not going to happen for these coaches and kids. Just a sad, sad lack of leadership and waste of talent. Certainly makes one appreciate the leadership Nate Healey provided last season. 0 - 11 and counting.

I would advise against climbing up on a billboard until it happens. You might miss next football season.

Saturday!
I like your optimism. I thought tonight would be the night. Our kids either can't or won't play defense; can't finish unguarded layups; can't shoot pull-up jump shots; can't run set plays; and can't manage the game clock.

Capel played with an eight man rotation. Where were Kobani, Gilbert, Scott and Toney? All DNP.

Attendance: 702...fans are voting from afar.
