The Lady Apps picked up their first Division I win of the season at Radford, 83-60. Maryah Sydnor returned to her hometown on a mission. She scored 24 points while becoming the 23rd player in Appalachian women's basketball history to score 1,000 points. She added 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 block and 2 steals. KeKe Cooper recorded her 4th double-double of the season.
The monkey is finally off their backs; and with the win, they earn a trip to *gulp" Ohio State. The Buckeyes have three centers--6-6, 6-5 and 6-4. Need I say more. OK, I will. Despite the height advantage, they've managed to record only an 8-6 record and have a couple of home losses to mid-majors. Let's see what damage our young kids can do.
