Last night's men's scrimmage results were interesting as much for who made contributions as for who apparently didn't. We didn't seem to get much contribution from the post guys. That's a problem, IMHO.

Making a splash of some sort were ...
:!: Baskin 16 Points (No surprise there)
 Eaves 16 Points (Huge surprise there. He was silent all last season.)
 Clarke Wins slam dunk contest over High School All-American Jake Lawson (Huge surprise there)
8-) Chris Burgess 10 key points, 4 assists
8-) Tab Hamilton 14 points
8-) Mike Neal 13 points, 4 assists
8-) Ty Toney 11 points

Making a splash...not so much
:?: Jay Canty No mention whatsoever
:?: Jake Lawson Lost slam Dunk contest to a 6-3 Guard
:?: Michael Obacha No mention
:?: Mike Kobani No mention
:?: Rantavious Gilbert No mention
:?: Aaron Scott No mention
:?: Tom Spagnolo No mention

Unless we get major swing contributions from Canty and major post contributions from Obacha and Kobani then we're going to have a long, long season. The red wolffies at MooU must be licking their chops to get us to the Capital city.

Well Canty didn't play, so there's a reason he didn't contribute much.

Thanks for that; appstatesports.com didn't post a box score. It was difficult to pull a summary together. Who else didn't play? Do we have serious injuries?

The freshman Aaron Scott didn't play either, both nursing some injuries. However, I don't either of them are too serious and both should be back for the game at Moo U.

Gilbert and Kobani didn't score really, but both showed up on defense blocking a bunch of shots. Also, Neal and Tab both scored 13 and 14 points, but shot horribly from the field. A bit alarming. Eaves was the biggest surprise by far and it's looking like he'll get a lot more run that most expected especially with the depth in the backcourt and on the wings loosely defined outside of Burgess.
