Former App State G Jacari Brim (@BrimJacari) has officially committed to NC State
It is true and odd. Brim is from Winston and Gainey from Greensboro. Maybe a connection? Maybe his style fits Gainey's system better?

From Mercer. Was an assistant coach in the NBA G-League and also at Stetson. Prior to that, was grad asst at Georgia under Crean. Played for Florida Gators as a reserve and transferred to Rutgers making All Big East as a senior. Was NY State Gatorade POY in 2006.
Mercer has a 6'9 PF currently uncommitted in the transfer portal. Conner Serven, previously played for VT, Eastern Michigan, and Illinois. Seems like he should be out of eligibility with 6 years played, but at least one of those was a redshirt. Maybe he got medical redshirts, too? Or he's incorrectly listed in the transfer portal.
