Let’s not get carried away with Vasser. He suffered a major injury and is still a ways away from competing at a high level. Not saying he won’t get there eventually but the preponderance of newcomers at his position suggests we aren’t counting on him early on.

This is what I have so far. If we can get one big that warrants 10-15 minutes a game, think we will be in good shape. We have good rebounders in Moodie, Neal, Chaney and Litch.

Returning:
PG Vasser 6'0 30% from three
SG Banks 6'3
PF Njock 6'6
SF/PF Neal 6'7
C Moodie 6'8

New:
PG Allen 6'5
PG Kopetski 6'0 38% from three
SG Koffi 6'4 37% from three
SG Costello 6'4 32.5% from three
SG/SF 6'5 Chaney 37% from three
SF/PF Litch 6'6 30% from three

PG Moss 6'0 (redshirt?)
Might as well throw Clayton in there. At 6’7-6’8 he might see minutes haha.

If we don’t pick up someone else, we won’t have a choice. Even if he can steal 5-10 minutes, that’d be great!

He averaged around 8 ppg as a senior in high school. I don’t see it happening.

Luke Wilson had 9.5 ppg in high school. Now he’s getting paid big time

Does anyone know Luke Wilson's salary? I'm not calling it an NIL deal

I'm guessing more than our salary cap.

With all those PG’s and SG’s, maybe DK’s gonna install the Princeton Offense next season?
Pete Carrill won a lot of games, so it might be a legit idea.

We can play two plus two and rotate the middle with what we have on the roster now. Of course we are still recruiting hard but I'm not concerned .I think it's shaping up to be a fun team to watch.
Agreed. Uptempo game constantly pushing. The ball up court.
Could be a really exciting style of play. If we shoot the 3 pointer well, we could run some teams out of the gym
You have to change your style of play to be an exciting style of play. It will be interesting to see if Kerns and Co. do just that with an up tempo offense.
With all the guards, I could see us running a pretty sick full court press.

Different competition, different body/athleticism, different motor, but I see your point. Anything can happen, I suppose.

Luke Wilson played in a small weak private HS basketball division. His team was good but the comp was not.
Hard to imagine Clayton only averaged 8ppg. I thought he was a solid player for his HS.

Totally different player.. Transformed his body and learned how to play D and block shots without getting into foul trouble. It will be interesting to see if he can continue to develop offensively and get good coaching from Gerry.

Solid, yes. But it was Asheville area basketball, nowhere near the level of bball comp you see in Charlotte, the triad, etc. For comparison, the other player in the same high school league who was his size played at D3 Roanoke College this year and averaged 3 ppg. He was 2 time conference player of the year in high school. I saw AC Reynolds (Clayton’s school) play Ben L Smith out of Greensboro in the second round of the playoffs Clayton’s senior year and the speed/athleticism overwhelmed them. Smith was loaded, but even their best player is a WCU commit for next year.

Edit: the Smith player flipped from WCU to Wofford.
