Marshall, stink, and a road game against surprisingly the hottest team in the conference to end the year. One game at a time.

Rather lose this one than one of the last 3, need to start another 7 game streak

Currently tied for 1st with Troy and S Alabama, but have tie breaker. If Marshall wins, they’ll be a half game ahead going into our matchup with them.

This is a typical late season game from Kerns.
Stupid comment. Sorry he only won 7 in a row.
One bid league. Who cares what happens in the regular season.
This is the real reason we struggle to get fans. None of it matters until we conf. tourney. (Although schools like UNCW and CofC do get fans)
It’s hard to convince fans to travel 50+ miles for games that ultimately do not matter just so the ones that do matter can be played 500+ miles away.

Last Net rankings has undefeated Miami of Ohio at 50th. It’s painfully obvious that lower mid majors have to achieve nearly impossible seasons to grab an at large bid. It’s a shame that regular seasons really don’t matter.

So, I’m pulling against the stink with Marshall and then am mad at them when they lose, right?

You guys saying these game dont matter....make me sad.

I dont know what the NIT will look like this year, but if we win the regular season we may get an invite to the NIT. ESPN shows many of those games. NCAA we get a 1 or 2 seed and probably get beat by 35. I would like to make either. To make the NIT tournament we have to win the regular season Sunbelt title.

College basketball lives and dies by the 3. We shot 6 of 28 3s....if we just shoot 9 of 28 and we are right in the game. It is just the way college basketball is now. We are plenty talented enough to win the Sunbelt....but 3s have to be falling.

We did that before. Best season in history. Regular season title. 2 straight losses to bring the season to a screeching loss and then lost 80% of the roster. If you don’t capitalize on the good seasons, then what is there to look to? Making the NCAA tourney is a must this season with the experience in the lineup that we have. If not, we are back to rebuilding again for 1-2 seasons.

So if that holds, we still hold 1st after winning 7 of 8. Don’t understand the gloom and doom after 1 single loss when we won 7 straight previously. We’re still top of the conference.

Troy and Marshall both lost tonight.

South Alabama is in 1st on percentage points after their miracle win today. They go to Marshall on Monday for a makeup game. Marshall wins and App is back in 1st going into Thursday's showdown.

3 big ones coming up....even with this loss...this doesnt feel quite like last year when we were 17-10 then lost the last 4 ...we had a bad shooting night last night and respect to JMU...they played great defense....we are good enough to get these last 3 or maybe 2/3...then make a run in our tourny..then who knows

No one in the SBC is great and we have a top three defensive team in the conference, if we have an average shooting night we beat the bottom 2/3rds of the teams. If we shoot 35% from 3 we beat anyone.

With three of the top 4 teams losing last night, it demonstrates that the tournament is likely going to be wild and unpredictable, and the winner a likely 15 or 16 seed.
