Re: WBB 2025-26 thread
Women fell apart. Had big lead most of the game. Down 3 now with 29 seconds left.

And getting worse. Maybe the hottest coaching seat we have going into next year?

For non revenue sports and lack of NIL, my personal opinion is you get 4 years.. like the ole days. You typically got 4 years to rebuild a bottom of the conference performer (which App Wbball has been)..

Re: WBB 2025-26 thread
It seems over the last half of the season, WBB lost quite a few games where we carried a lead into the 4th.

I'm in no rush to get rid of her, but I have a feeling the grumblings will get strong without showing improvement. Seems like a wonderful person and hope she can get it done!BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Tue Mar 03, 2026 2:19 pmFor non revenue sports and lack of NIL, my personal opinion is you get 4 years.. like the ole days. Re: WBB 2025-26 thread
I feel like 4 years is fair but that might even be difficult. Because of the portal, the issue is that you can't really develop and build because if you have a star player you are likely to lose that player to power programs with deep pockets. It feels like all sports at a school like App State will have to take a money ball approach to it each year.BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Tue Mar 03, 2026 2:19 pmFor non revenue sports and lack of NIL, my personal opinion is you get 4 years.. like the ole days. I agree. I do like to listen to her postgame comments as she seems to be genuine in dealing her players and the press. I do hope she can turn things around.BUTCH1991 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 03, 2026 3:51 pmI'm in no rush to get rid of her, but I have a feeling the grumblings will get strong without showing improvement. The young lady from Coastal.. after firing the first shot... She just walks on to the locker room. She knew her day was done.

I watched that clip a couple times, not sure how 7 players from South Alabama got ejected on that, guess maybe there were other incidents that weren't shown.

Expectations are not high. It’s a check the box sport. She’s a very nice person and well liked. I’ve heard nothing about any pressure.

Re: WBB 2025-26 thread
Culture of this program is very toxic! If you ask any of the girls who where seniors last year or left they couldn't stand all the drama and how they were treated by all coaches. One or them even said she didn't know how toxic the culture was until she got to her new program. Very telling that no players came back from last year for alumni day. She sells her program very well and gets all stakeholders to buy in and uses all the big terminology . She does this to hide her coaching deficiencies! All this years players hated it as well. It shows in how the team performs towards the end of the season. Last year team finished 1-9 in last 10 and this year 1-10 in last 11. Players can only take so much before they lose it mentally!
